Sunday, October 18, 2009 at 07:59AM I've started pulling together content (3D models mostly) for my next game "Charlie Goes Berzerk!". Check out the author commentary section that will show progress as the game evolves.

Originally developed, for www.dreambuildplay.com (2008), you can pick up this game on Xbox Live community games here.

If you have a 360 and an XBOX Live account, please download and give it a go. A real labour of love this one! My best 360 game to date :)
Thank you to all my fellow XNA premium creators for reviewing the game. Being a child of the 80's, receiving comments like this about the game bought a veritable joyful tear to the eye...
"It would be easy to describe this simply as "Defender in 3D," but I think I'll refer to it as "Defender in 3D by someone who actually played Defender." I never played the Defender remake from a few years ago, but this feels to me like Mario 64 did when compared to the 2D Mario games...if it was in 3D, this is how it should play. Great job."
Happy day!

Saturday, September 5, 2009 at 11:20AM Well, I'm having the devils only job of getting the game through playtest and peer review. Which probably means it won't make the grade in the competition. Some really stupid mistakes with respect to controllers and storage. Oh well, I have really enjoyed developing the thing. I hope it will be up on XBOX live community games soon. In the mean time, I've completed the "Authors Commentary" on the game micro site... Check out it :)
Saturday, August 22, 2009 at 07:59PM This looks like fun.
Some Rail Gun Charlie game related merchandise is now available at http://www.cafepress.co.uk/rgc_diplomat, http://www.cafepress.co.uk/RGC_RailGun or here (see Merchandise section).
I'll do some more choice graphics in due course.
The game should be up for Peer Review and sale very soon :-)
Sunday, August 2, 2009 at 05:44PM Ok... So I've got Rail Gun Charlie submitted in to www.dreambuildplay.com a few days ago. The DBP web site has not changed since last year, although you can now use youtube for game videos (hooray!).
So, fingers crossed for the competition. Lots of positive comments on the youtube vid, so I'm hopeful this game is a good one.
I've also now got the game up on XBLIG (Xbox Live Indie Games) play test for any XNA creator premium members wishing to play test(!) - See http://bit.ly/FN1LN.
